About the project
Sonic Alchemy captures the vision of seven musicians from different countries - each of them having a unique style in crafting musical landscapes and a burning desire to express themselves through the avenue of sound. The tracks on this compilation CD range from raw and aggressive punk influenced songs like "Cold, Blind and Frightened", progressive metal with symphonic influences as in "The Rise of Phoenix", sheer guitar virtuosity in "Sonic the Shredhog" and "D- Day", beautiful instrumentals like "Beginnings" to singer-songwriter tracks with a twist like "Flare", and "Flowers." All artists are students of guitar virtuoso Tom Hess and participants of his Music Careers Mentoring Program.
